Wow, it finally came! Yes, it’s been a great start to a busy year, and our first home leave has come and gone. We’ve already had midterms for first quarter & time is flying by.

The Sheriff’s Department is still patrolling to help us remember that heavy equipment is on the railroad tracks on Spangle-Waverly Road. Maintenance will be preformed through October. We were advised that all vehicles need to come to a complete stop and watch for equipment.

There is a new photo gallery on the UCA website that features the seniors of 2010 living at Senior Survival. It was a great time for the seniors to bond, learn, and develop a closer walk with God.
Most of the photos in this new gallery were shot by Chris Drake (UCA class of 1996). Our many thanks for his willingness to share his photos & for helping with senior survival every year. It is the highlight of the year for many seniors.

There is Sunday school this week. This week is the first home leave of the school year!

Remember Monday begins Week of Prayer and the adjusted class schedule.
Our Fall Picnic will be Tuesday, the 15th. All students are required to ride school transportation. If day students would like to be picked-up along the route contact Scott North at 245-3680 by Monday, the 14th at 5:00 p.m.
The Washington Department of Transportation has alerted us that there will be heavy equipment on the railroad track on Spangle-Waverly Road. Maintenance will be preformed until the end of October. We were advised that all vehicles need to come to a complete stop and watch for the equipment. The Sheriff’s Department will be patrolling to help us remember.

It was an amazing experience watching the church members, staff, and ASB wash the students feet at the Agape Vespers last Friday evening. It symbolizes all that we hope to teach this year. This next week will be an unforgettable one for the seniors as they learn to work together.

Please remember that Monday is a regular school day. HOPE Taskforce will be on Wednesday, so each student will be involved in a project. No classes meet. Students will need to check the schedule that will be posted on the bulletin board in the ad building.

Changes with Alumni Homecoming 2010

The UCA & YVA Alumni Homecoming is October 1-2, 2010.
Historically, alumni weekend has been the first weekend of May. However, that time of year can be busy for many people so it was decided to move alumni homecoming to the fall & October 1-2 of 2010.
