Echo Log Archives (Yearbooks Online)

October 30, 2009

HP-Pictures-Folder-Dock-512Following the burning of the Upper Columbia Conference Office (Fall 2008), UCA began making digital backups of the historical photos, yearbooks, and videos in our archives. These digital records are being saved in many locations to ensure the survival of records in the event of a disaster similar to that of the UCC Offices.

The online digital yearbook archive is one result of this undertaking.  The online editions of the yearbooks are presented in their complete printed form -except for pages which contain personal information.  At this point, the collection is still growing and eventually all yearbooks will be available for online browsing.

Visit the on-line yearbook archives.

New Video on UCAA.ORG

October 30, 2009

reels2Another short video from this school year has been added to UCAA.ORG.  This video was created by Nick (Class of 2010) and it shows Class Night.  Class night is a great time for the classes to begin to bond at the beginning of the school year.  Various games, challenges, and general fun.  It is a time when not only do the classes bond but each class has the opportunity to build other classes up.

A senior reportedly called class night “school spirit in a room”.

Principal’s Update & This Week @ UCA Nov. 7

October 30, 2009

Winter is teasing us and we’ve had snow flurries throughout the day. We’re thankful far fewer students are now on sick list and parents and staff are continuing to take every precaution necessary to keep those numbers to a minimum.

We have incorporated some Parent Weekend activities into the UCC Family Fellowship weekend November 13 – 15. Most of you have already had opportunity to meet your son or daughter’s teachers, but if you haven’t, please contact Florence Lacey for scheduling: florence.lacey@ucaa.org or 509-245-3627. We understand that all of you can’t see every teacher, so please choose one or two. There will also be the Amateur Hour on Saturday night and football games on Sunday. It will be an exciting, fun, full weekend!

The theme of the UCC Family Fellowship is Go Mission Fest. Click on this link for seminars and schedule .   If your son or daughter has not signed up for a mission trip now is the time.

Visit UCA’s Edline presence to read the This Week at UCA schedules under the news section.

Parent Weekend Canceled

October 9, 2009

Dear Parents,

Currently UCA has no power.  The electric company anticipates that we will have power again about 4 p.m. today.  We’re sending this message from an off-campus source.

If you have not heard PARENT WEEKEND has been CANCELED, due to a large number of students and some staff being sick.

All activities for Parent Weekend have also been canceled.  We will look at re-scheduling as many aspects of Parent Weekend as possible in our busy calendar.

This will be an open weekend.

Any students who are feeling any symptoms need to see a dean or Mrs. Williams the school nurse.

We are encouraging all students to go home after classes today if at all possible and REST.

SCHOOL IS NOT CANCELED.  Monday classes will resume as scheduled for students who are well.

Any students that are on campus and well this weekend, will be advised about the activities for the weekend.

We are sorry for this inconvenience, but we feel this will be the best for our student body.

If you have questions please call the dean on duty’s cell phone.  Girls’ Dean – 879-6946, Guys’ Dean 879-6124

God Bless,

Troy Patzer

Principal
