Grandparent Weekend
Upper Columbia Academy would like to invite all grandparents to our campus March 11 & 12. Our annual Grandparent Weekend is a time for UCA students to acquaint their grandparents with UCA’s campus. Although grandparents care very much about their students at UCA, they may not get as many chances to visit the school as they would like. This is a time planned specifically to allow the grandparents to be involved in their student’s UCA Experience, as well as to show them the accomplishments of their student. Band, Choir, and Gymnastics are featured during the weekend during the Spring Arts Festival along with projects from technology and art classes being on display. This year during Grandparent Weekend, we will also celebrate our Christian and Adventist heritage through a series of student and staff led worship services. Although the weekend is designed to especially honor the Grandparents of UCA students, anyone is welcome to attend. UCA looks forward to having you on our campus!

Upper Columbia Academy is having its annual Academy Day on Thursday, April 7. Come out and experience the life style of being at student at UCA. Enjoy performances from the choir, band, and gymnastics team. Visitors will also be able to attend classes, take tours of campus and take part in spiritual activities.

Winter hit us again last night. The good news is it is predicted to warm up next week. The seniors and their sponsors are feverishly preparing for Senior Recognition. We look forward to having the families of our seniors on campus.
DID YOU KNOW we have 85 seniors being recognized this weekend? 53 are from Washington, 15 from Idaho, nine from Oregon, two from British Columbia, and one each from Alaska, Colorado, Kansas, Montana, Texas, and Korea!

Dear UCA Family,
Home leave has begun! The campus was abuzz this morning, but it is quiet for a few days now.
DID YOU KNOW at the Walla Walla University Friendship Tournament last year, both our boys’ and girls’ basketball teams received the Sportsmanship Award? The tournament begins on Thursday, February 10. Our girls will play Auburn Adventist Academy at 3:30 p.m. in the WWU gym. The boys’ game will begin at 5:30 p.m. playing Gem State Academy. If you are in the area come cheer them on!
DAY STUDENTS it’s time to have your banquet attire checked, just like dorm students do, in order to receive your ticket for the banquet on Sunday, February 20. You can have your banquet attire checked any time deans are in their offices until 10 pm on Thursday. Dorm students please see the deans from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday.
SENIOR PARENTS the yearbook staff is extending the deadline for YEARBOOK TRIBUTES until Friday, February 18.

Dear UCA Family,
Soul Real is the theme for the Student Week of Prayer. Alanna Augustin, Elliott Berger, Geoff Hughes, Melina Maniscalco, Josiah McIntosh, and Nathan Stratte have done a great job being real with their peers about their walks with Christ. Tonight Mishayla Brown and Seth White will do the same. Friday Vespers at 7:30 p.m. Rachel Jorgensen, Elise Kinne, and Charlie Wickward will share. Sabbath is Emily Anderson and Juan Mendoza. Please continue to join us in prayer for the Holy Spirit to move on our campus as we end this special week during the church service on Sabbath.
DID YOU KNOW we have 19 four-year seniors? Thirteen are from Washington, three from Idaho, and one each from Colorado, Montana, and Oregon. This Saturday night is the annual Four-Year Senior Benefit in the cafeteria at 6:15 p.m. This is the big fundraiser for their four-year senior trip. If you are in the area you are welcome to join the fun. There will be food booths with mouth-watering delights for every taste.
SENIOR PARENTS remember the YEARBOOK TRIBUTES deadline is TOMORROW Friday, February 4.
FOUR-YEAR SENIOR BENEFIT Saturday night at 6:15 in the café. Come support our students and enjoy the food.
