Dear UCA Family,
Praise the Lord for students that participated in the UCA Africa and Borneo Mission Trips as well as our students that went with other church and conference groups have returned safely and had amazing experiences. We are looking forward to hearing all their stories. Pastor Fred shared this story; the German architect for the project in Namibia, Africa told him he had never worked with young people that worked so well with adults and were so spiritual. He became choked up as he said “with young people like these it gives me hope for our church going through the days ahead”. Thank you for sharing such great kids with us!
DID YOU KNOW Howie Heaton, Victoria Olson, Michael Wilkinson, and John Wilson will represent UCA at the Walla Walla University Days Knowledge Bowl this next week? WWU Days is a great opportunity for seniors to taste university life whether they plan to attend Walla Walla or another university or college. There will be financial information and more that will guide them in this important decision.
ACADEMY DAY is Thursday, April 7. Come out and experience the lifestyle of being a student at UCA. Enjoy performances from the choir, band, and gymnastics team. Visitors will also be able to attend classes, take tours of campus and enjoy the spiritual atmosphere. For more information you can email info@ucaa.org or call Joe Hess at 509-245-3680.

SENIORS AND SENIOR PARENTS All Seniors will need to have sleeping bags and be at the flagpole to load at 1:00 pm on Sunday, April 3 for WWU Days. They will return on Tuesday, April 5 at approximately 4:00 p.m.
DAY STUDENTS AND PARENTS Thursday, April 7 will be Academy Day. It will be a FRIDAY SCHEDULE for morning classes. All students are required to attend the assembly in the afternoon.

Spring break has arrived, mission trips are on their way, and 3rd quarter 2011 is history. The change of pace will be good for everyone as 4th quarter begins and the final stretch of the 2010-11 school year.
DID YOU KNOW this will be the 20th church that UCA has built in Borneo. Olin Peach started this mission trip 12 years ago after leading mission trips to Mexico for many years.
HOME LEAVE BUS TRANSPORTATION if there are any changes in your plans and your student will or will not need to ride the bus back on Sunday, March 27, please call the driver’s cell. The schedule with driver’s cell phone is attached.

We are excited to welcome our students’ grandparents to our campus this weekend. GRANDPARENT WEEKEND begins tomorrow at vespers and grandparents are UCA’s guests for meals Friday night and Sabbath. Here’s the list of events:
- FRIDAY NIGHT VESPERS 7:30 p.m. in the UCA SDA Church
- SABBATH SERVICES 10:00 a.m. in the UCA SDA Church
- SPRING ARTS FESTIVAL 7:30 p.m. in the UCA Gymnasium
DID YOU KNOW we have 29 students going on a UCA Mission Trip to Namibia, Africa and 29 others going to Borneo during spring break? In addition one student is going on the UCC Guatemala Mission trip and others going with their local churches on their mission trips. Let’s pray for their safety as well as the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the participants and those they minister too.
HOME LEAVE BUS TRANSPORTATION – if your student hasn’t signed up they must do it by TOMORROW, Friday, March 11. This is imperative so we can plan which and how many vehicles are needed.

Dear UCA Family,
The UCA Band and Choraliers departed yesterday afternoon for Canada. Tomorrow morning our gymnastics team heads to Newport, Bonners Ferry, and Sandpoint. Please keep them in your prayers for safety as they travel as well sharing the good things that God is doing on our campus.
GRANDPARENT WEEKEND is next weekend, March 11 and 12. Grandparents are UCA’s guests for meals during the weekend. We’ve invited all of the grandparents that we had addresses for, but if you know a grandparent that didn’t receive an invitation, please tell them they are invited and we’d love to have them. Grandparent Weekend has been combined with Heritage Weekend. We’ll be featuring some of the special events in the formation of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Here’s the list of events:

DID YOU KNOW if all of our current freshmen, sophomores and juniors return next year, we will be giving close to $300,000 in discounts through the TIP Program? This is in addition to other scholarships and financial assistance given to UCA students. Now is the time to plan to join the UCA family next year and enjoy the benefits of the TIP Program for the following years. The second year a student attends UCA they will receive a 20% discount on tuition. The third year it is 30% and the fourth year it is 50%!
