This Week at UCA – May 7-13
Dear UCA Family,
Thursday the ASB planned a special assembly for the National Day of Prayer. Following a short video, students and staff broke into small groups to pray for our country, our school, and the continued outpouring of the Holy Spirit on campus.
DID YOU KNOW… CORRECTION – Last week we stated that Brian Lenz was recognized as Spokane Scholar in Foreign Language and Josh Gaskill in Social Studies. Actually Brian is Social Studies and Josh is Foreign Language. We apologize for our oversight. Good job guys!
DID YOU KNOW… The Biology students went to Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge for their annual field trip. Turnbull is a 17,000 acre refuge with diverse habitat including wetland and pine forest. The students saw everything from moose to baby great horned owls. They rotated through four different activities: aquatic study, eco system hike, bird identification and a classroom activity conducted by the refuge volunteers.
DID YOU KNOW… It’s Teacher Appreciation Week. If you have something nice to say about one or more of our teachers (or staff) would you email them or me? We are blessed with awesome teachers and I love to hear the stories you share. Thanks!
