Administration Building Fund
URGENT
|
*Re-carpet Halls - $12,000
*Re-carpet halls, classrooms and offices - $50,000 or $3,500 per room - ($35,000 in hand)
*Library equipment for repairing book bindings & for electronic check out - $10,000
The Administration Building desperately needs to be re-carpeted. We have had 4 different companies out 4 or 5 years in a row, trying to re-glue the bubbles in the halls and offices. After 10 years of hard use, the time has come to replace it. We are $15,000 away from being able to order it - the work will have to be done during vacation time at the school. |

| Alumni Annual Fund |
The Annual Fund is the unrestricted giving to UCA which is used for projects voted by the Alumni Committee in consultation with school administration and the master plan committee. It is spent on things like refurbishing the band room , dorms or Power House; providing classroom teachers with up to date equipment and etc. In other words, projects of current need on campus...of which there are MANY! |
|
| Computer Technology Fund |
*$15,000 per dorm ($30,000 total) to implement a carefully monitored and safer computer use policy.
The UCA board voted that given the "exploding climate of the internet," that students will each be provided with a "thin client" which connects them to the school server and white listed sites which have been approved for research. The funding needed is for wiring in the dorms and the basic equipment for the students. |
|
Development Office Fund |
A fund to use for teacher appreciation. A way to provide the means to pay for a class they wish they could afford, a special piece of equipment they'd like to integrate into their teaching, or a night away with their spouse to re-group...... An added way to say "Thank you." You are valued." |
|
Dorm Funds

*Fire safety sprinkler systems - $100,000 for each dorm - ($37,000 in hand) URGENT
After the fires at Auburn Academy and Southern Adventist University, we have been advised that though our buildings are made for cement block, for insurance purposes, we must install these systems immediately. Your help is needed. |
|

A new scholarship offered to students who are interested in developing skills in this area and are willing to take 10 credits in IT classes each year and do a supervised project. The scholarships are renewable for up to 3 years. Students taking this track may also work towards college credits and certification in some areas. |

| The Sabbath Project Fund |
The faculty voted that we need to be more intentional about making Sabbath special on this campus. One way to do that is to set the tables with tablecloths, centerpieces or other decorations for Sabbath meals. When students enter the cafeteria, they are reminded that this day is different. There is no departmental budget on campus that covers the purchase of flowers, tablecloths, napkins, re-useable decorating supplies and etc. We try to use things like flowering plants that can actually be planted on campus. Afterwards, fruit centerpieces that can be eaten later and so on. But we need vases, terra cotta pots, flower arranging supplies, etc. Decorating is done every week that the students are on campus, all school year. 41 tables are decorated on closed weekends and 10-15 on open ones. Expenses run anywhere from $650 to $950 for about 27 week-ends. |
|
| Single Parent Scholarship Fund |
This scholarship was established by a couple who felt God's leading in offering to help students from single parent homes - based on the Bible text that admonishes us to help the "widows and orphans." Students coming from a home where there is only one parent and financial challenges, may apply. |

Worthy Student Scholarship Fund
URGENT |
$180,000 is needed every year in addition to special scholarship funds! Annual or monthly support of any amount is urgently needed. i.e.: One family came in August to see if they could make arrangements to have their son come to UCA. He excels in academics... has a good mind... is willing to work... and will be a positive addition to our student body. But...with scholarships, work, parent and church help, he is still $700 a month short of being able to afford to come... he and many others are in a similar position. Because most giving last year went towards the bus campaign, the Worthy Student Fund is very low. Can you help us? |
