DAY STUDENTS – HOPE TASKFORCE
Hope Taskforce Day is this Thursday, March 15! Parents of day students, if you would like your student to be picked up at Yoke’s, 4235 Cheney Spokane Rd. on Hwy 195, instead of having to drop them off and pick them up at UCA, we need to hear from you. There is a sign-up sheet in the Front Office for those students who need transportation. The pick-up/drop-off times are below:
|At Yoke’s Store||Morning Projects||Afternoon Projects||Northview Community|
|Pick-up||8:05 a.m.||12:32 p.m.||11:50 a.m.|
|Drop-off||11:56 a.m.||4:20 p.m.||3:48 p.m.|
Morning Projects: ARC, Cat Tales, Downtown Goodwill, Ronald McDonald, and St. Margaret’s.
Afternoon Projects: Habitat for Humanity, Harvard Park, Second Harvest, and Valley Goodwill, and Northview Community (separate vehicle/times).
Village students on the meal plan who need a lunch for HOPE, please sign up in the front office by Wednesday morning, March 14. Lunches will only be made for students whose names are on the list. You may pick up your sack lunch at the café on Thursday morning if you are on campus or ask a friend to pick it up for you. If you have any questions, please contact Misa Barba at (509) 245-3600 or email@example.com. Thank you!
Mission trips to Malawi and Guyana will be leaving this Sabbath afternoon and returning on Monday evening, April 2. They will be loading from 1:30 p.m. on at the flagpole. There are 43 participants going to Malawi and 13 going to Guyana this year. They will be involved in building projects, medical and dental clinics, VBS, health talks, and evangelism. Please pray for those who will be traveling and ministering for the Lord in various places in the following weeks.
SPRING BREAK/HOME LEAVE BUS
Home leave begins at 12:02 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, and classes resume on Monday, April 2, 2018. The home-leave class and bus schedules are attached.
IN CASE OF EMERGENCY – ADMINISTRATOR ON DUTY DURING HOME LEAVE
If there is an emergency during home leave regarding transportation or the home-leave bus, please call (509) 245-3601. If an administrator is not able to answer, please leave a message. They will be checking the messages frequently.
Do you know a student who should become part of the UCA Family? Tell them about our OVERNIGHT Academy Days on Thursday AND Friday, April 5 & 6. These days are for any student to experience life at UCA, whether they are currently attending an Adventist school, public school, home school, or another Christian/private school. Students should arrive and settle in at the dorms at 10:30 a.m., and be in the gym by 11:30 for opening ceremonies. Students will get to experience dorm life and study hall, as well as get a taste of the various teachers and classes, and participate in a knowledge bowl (if desired). For more information, contact Shelley Bacon at (509) 675 5003, or at firstname.lastname@example.org.

WALLA WALLA UNIVERSITY DAYS – ALL SENIORS
Walla Walla University Days will be Sunday-Tuesday, April 8-10. Our seniors will visit WWU and experience a taste of college life, including attending classes, informational meetings, and staying in the dorms. This will be an amazing opportunity to explore what Walla Walla University has to offer and to spend some fun time together as a class. The information obtained will be beneficial for them, even if they are not planning to attend WWU. Our students will have a great time at this event and are required to go. More information will be available next week.
Band/Choraliers/Orchestra will be on tour to Canada from Wednesday to Sunday, April 11-15, 2018. The itinerary is attached.
